CONTENT THEATRE
A 4-hour phone-first content creation workshop for creators-in-training.
For the entrepreneurs, internal content people, aspiring creators, UGC girlies, marketing staff, and "somehow I'm the social media person now" people who know they need to show up online β but don't yet feel confident making the content.
Bring your phone. Bring your nerves. We'll work with both.
You don't need a better camera. You need a better relationship with being seen.
Most people know they need to make social content. But they get stuck β because they feel awkward, don't know what to say, don't know how to film, don't know how to edit, or are quietly terrified of looking cringe.
You can have the strategy. You can have the phone. You can even have the content ideas.
But if you freeze when the camera turns on, the content never gets made.
CONTENT THEATRE is where you learn the practical skills and the creative confidence to actually press record.
The internet wants people. Not perfectly polished ghosts.
Showing up on camera is no longer optional for most brands and creators.
Human-led content builds trust faster than faceless brand accounts.
Individual voices create stronger connection than corporate logos.
Original content from real people is becoming more important across platforms.
If you're responsible for promoting something online, creating as a human is part of the job.
Audiences can feel when you're hiding β and they can feel when you're actually there.
I know what it's like to make brands look good. I also know what it's like to put my own face on the line.
I've spent over a decade working in social media strategy and content creation, including eight years inside corporate social media β building content for brands and organizations.
I know how to make content perform, look good, and tell a story that actually connects with audiences in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada.
But when I made the decision to build my own creator-led business, I learned very quickly that creating content for a brand and creating content as yourself are two completely different emotional experiences.
CONTENT THEATRE was built from that transition.
Everything I know about corporate social, content strategy, storytelling, and performance β translated into a workshop that helps real people feel capable of showing up.
What we rehearse before you hit publish.
Phone-first filming
Framing, lighting, vertical video, where to look, how to set up β and how to make the space and gear you already have work harder.
Talking-head videos
How to film a simple yapping video where you talk straight to camera with structure, clarity, and a lot less panic.
Basic editing in CapCut
Cut silences, trimming, pacing, captions, and exports β the editing workflow that gets the post out the door.
Social-first pacing
Practical duration, pacing, and clarity guidance so your videos are easier to watch and built for the way people actually scroll.
On-camera confidence
Exercises to help you get over fear, awkwardness, perfectionism, and the feeling that you might be cringe (you're not).
Creative content reps
You'll actually film, edit, and experiment in the room. No notebook full of content you'll make someday.
The 4-hour run of show.
Four acts. One stage. You leave with reps in the can.
Act I
The Stage
Why showing up matters now, why audiences connect with humans, and why the fear of being seen is so normal β and so workable.
Act II
The Camera
Phone setup, framing, lighting, audio awareness, talking-head filming, and capturing usable footage without overcomplicating it.
Act III
The Edit
CapCut basics, cut silences, trimming, tightening pace, captions, duration, and making a video feel actually postable.
Act IV
The Performance
Improv-inspired exercises, content speed dating, the 60-second spotlight challenge, and a low-pressure Story prompt to break the ice with your audience.
Yes, you will actually make content.
The 60-Second Spotlight
Press record. Pitch your business, role, offer, or idea in 60 seconds. Timer ends, video is done. No spiraling. No 19 takes. Just the rep.
Content Speed Dating
Pair up, explain what you do, and help each other pull usable content ideas out of the conversation in real time.
The Yapping Video
Film a talking-head video based on a simple prompt, then tighten it in CapCut until it actually feels postable.
The Story Icebreaker
Post a casual workshop Story to your audience β proof that showing up doesn't have to be a high-stakes production.
Joy is not extra. Joy is part of the strategy.
If creating content feels miserable, forced, unsafe, or disconnected from why you care, the audience can tell.
To create content consistently, you need psychological safety, boundaries, clarity, comfort, creative play, and a reason for making the content beyond "the algorithm said so."
"If you can't find even a little bit of joy in the process, your audience is going to feel that. So before we chase the algorithm, we build the conditions that help you actually want to show up."
